A Great Catch From 25 Years Ago
This message was received from Chris Girling. We are very grateful for his kind words and delighted his recent fishing here was so enjoyable…
I’ve been fishing Lynn Coron for many years as my Dad was bailiff for 20 years until he passed away in 2006.
I love the lake and it holds many fond memories, my Dad and I have had many a great days fishing there.
He would be thrilled to see it being run so well by yourselves, and, as his and my Mum’s ashes have been scattered on the banks of this very special place. I’m sure he is watching over the members and visiting anglers with a great deal of pleasure as they do battle with the wily brown trout in its waters.
I myself fished on Saturday just gone and although it was very windy I managed to have some great sport tempting some good fish to take my muddlers in the waves.
Keep up the good work.
Chris’ father, Cliff, landed a superb 6lb brownie from the lake in 1990. Chris has kindly supplied a couple of photos.
