2017 AGM Report

Mar 28, 2017

The AGM was once again kindly hosted by Tim Bowie at the Bodorgan Estate office. Catch returns and accounts for 2016 were reviewed and the following specific matters were discussed:

  1. Tim agreed that since the access to the boat launching area had been improved by removal of low tree branches, the estate can now lay some hard core down to create easier access during the early season when the ground is wet and muddy.
  2. A proposal was made to allow for the regular mid-season algae issue by extending the season until 30th November and from 2018 starting on 1st March. This was carried unanimously.
  3. In order to try to encourage more youngsters into the sport, a proposal to allow a reduced season ticket rate for junior anglers was carried unanimously. Juniors aged under 16 at the time of purchasing a ticket can now join for £75.
  4. As our regular supplier of stocked fish has gone out of business, suggestions from he floor were made for alternatives. The secretary will make contact accordingly with a view to stocking as early as possible.
